The Sheriff’s Auxiliary has been trained by the Michigan State Police in organizing and implementing church safety and security programs.
Annually, the Auxiliary puts on a one-day conference for local and regional churches and organizations, offering training for both everyday and emergency situations.
Past sessions have included de-escalation tactics, life safety awareness, first aid, moral use of deadly force, child safety, team firearms qualification, and lethal force and the law.
The highlight of the upcoming 2023 conference is the keynote speaker, Carl Chinn.
